Protection: 1-The Rabbath'case© weight 35 pounds! The exceptional fusion of Kevlar, and Carbon - vacuum bagging technique* - gives the case all the characteristics required for creating: Lightness, Strength, Durability. 2-The Rabbath'case© front and the back are completely removable. This allows the option to stow the case nested, eliminating the burden of huge volume, when storing between uses. 3- The Rabbath'case©’ unique "SUSPENDER system" (patented) suspends the double bass 5 inches from the walls of the case, totally protecting the instrument from the outside world. No harmful vibrations can reach the instrument. 4- The Rabbath'case© offers a totally unique "SUSPENDER' system" (patented). This eliminates use of foam, which causes more contact between your instrument and the exterior. Foam also increases weight. 5- The Rabbath'case© keeps your instrument drier and helps speed customs checks. Removal of the double bass is now unnecessary. 6- All Rabbath'case© are 100% guaranteed! |

INSTRUMENT MEASUREMENTS For those situations where instrument is oversized. Step 1: Use rolled paper 36" inches in width (Staples has Bienfang® Paper Poster Rolls, 36"W x 25 yds., White Paper ). If impossible to find, please choose something similar. Step 2: Roll out paper on flat surface. Cut 2 pieces, each approximately 8 inches longer than the instrument. Place them side by side, and overlap until you have enough width to draw the silhouette of your instrument with a 3-inch margin on sides. Tape securely along the middle. Step 3: - Lay down instrument approximately 4 inches from top, leaving 3 inches on each side. Step 4: Beginning from paper edge, using a soft pencil, carefully trace instrument around edges. Step 5: Mark the position of the bridge and measure it's highest point. Step 6: Cut paper, leaving 2 inches at base and top of instrument. Step 7: Roll and mail in tube available at an office supply or possibly your post office. Priority Mail Packaging is free, if tube size is available. If necessary to fold paper to fit into tube, fold along edges. Be sure that tape is not disturbed. Further: Clearly print all measurements. Print Name and Contact information on sheet. A check for total amount due should be included with specifications to complete Order. If choosing Pay Pal for payment, please note the Date and ID# of the transaction. Send to: The Rabbath'Case® att: Mr Olivier Rabbath Please call to get the right address dept. Thank you for your order. It is my pleasure to serve you. |

An ideal fiberglass layup minimizes the amount of resin because resin by itself adds weight without adding strength. When doing fiberglass layup by hand, it is hard to get the minimum amount of resin because you need enough to soak the cloth and the cloth doesn't lay completely flat against the surface. The solution to this is vacuum bagging. Vacuum bagging uses atmospheric pressure to press the cloth tightly against the surface being covered so that the excess resin is squeezed out and soaked up in a disposable outer wrap. This technique requires a vacuum bag, vacuum pump capable of pulling a significant vacuum (at least 25 inches of mercury) and various accessories and supplies. Thus vacuum bagging has been mostly restricted to large commercial use. |
No harmful vibrations can reach the instrument. |

Directions for use of the "Rabbath'case" the first time. A- Case must be in a horizontal position (laid flat) when opening and closing. 2- Enlever la pic. B- Take off the endpin. C- Without detaching hook, loosen the 5th belt, which goes under the bass. D- Open the other 4 belts completely. E- Place the bass, with its gig bag, in the middle of the case on the 4 opened belts. F- Bass should sit deep (approximately 4 inches) into the case. If necessary, tighten or loosen the elastic, using the 2 rings attached to the elastic. G- Tighten the 4 belts well. Keep in mind that the belt located on the right keeps the bass from moving to the left, and the belt located on the left keeps the bass from moving to the right. In other words, the 4 belts are keeping the Bass from all horizontal movements. H- Place the 5th belt under the bass, the "double belt" should go on each side of the attachment of the en-pin. I- Attach the elastic, located on the bottom, around the metal attachment of the endpin. J- Examine the balance of the tension between the 5th belt and the elastic bottom. Here, these two elements must stop any vertical movement of the bass. If the bass is too close to the bottom, pull it up with the 5th belt, but also avoid getting the head of the bass too close to the top of the case (keep 2 inches clearance) 11- Placer le couvercle de la caisse. K- When closing the cover of the case, you may have to gently push down, since the elastic will give some resistance. On the other hand, if the tension of the elastic is too strong, loosen the elastic by opening the 2 rings attached to the elastic for this purpose. The fit of the bass should be snug, but also allow you to close the cover. Since each bass is different, there is no universal tension of elastic. For that reason, you will need to adjust it to your bass' size. This will only be necessary upon first use. 12- Fermer les fermetures en caoutchouc. L- Close the rubber locks. M- Stand the case upright, and don't hesitate to shake it. The bass should only "vibrate" inside the case. You will feel immediately that your bass is floating inside,..... suspended. |
